MAKE UP Requirements for dancers:
- Make up for Show – Students 10 & younger – Earth tone eyeshadow- sparkly brown. gold high lighter . Rosy Red blush. Black mascara. Foundation and face powder may be used.
- Students 11 & older add black eyeliner and use foundation to start. Use face powder also.
- NO jewelry, ankle bracelets or nail polish. Nude or clear strap bras only.
HAIR Requirements for dancers:
- ALL Ballet Middle bun – Center of back of head with NO part for ALL Ballet dancers. VERY TIDY. Use gel, hairspray, hair net and bobby pins to match hair color. ( YouTube if unsure how to do a very tidy bun)
- 12:30pm Performance – All jazz, hip hop and contemporary – High Pony Tail
- 5pm Performance – All contemporary classes, competition teams ( No minis) , hip hop and senior dance – Low Ponytail middle part. ALL Jazz- High “braided” ponytail. ( Lady Gaga Production)
TIGHTS Requirements for dancers:
- BALLET tights – ALL ballet classes Beginning- Advanced.
- Tan FOOTED tights – Combo Jazz/Tap, Jazz 1,2,3, 4, 5A and teen jazz. ( IF dancer is also in Junior Lyrical please purchase tan STIRRUP tights as listed below )
- Tan STIRRUP tights – Junior lyrical.
JDA recommends purchasing at studio OR rehearsal so tight shade is correct.
